City's Latest Murder Victim Identified As 19-Year-Old

The city's latest murder victim has been identified as a 19-year-old who police say was likely beaten to death by two men.
The grisly attack occurred near a shopping plaza on Bonis Avenue around noon on Monday.
Annushath Indrakanthan was reportedly hit in the head with a hammer and then stabbed. Emergency crews worked desperately to save the man following the alleged swarm but he died in hospital.
"Nobody deserves to have that happen them," said Nevi Indrakanthan, Annushath's brother. "Just sitting there on the floor, unconscious, struggling to live."
He was killed near Kennedy Road and Sheppard Avenue, just a few kilometres away from the site where Kristian Thanapalan, 22, was also beaten to death on July 11.
Police have not released a motive for the slaying but say it unfolded after the two individuals exited a white Ford vehicle parked across the street from where the initial attack occurred.
It's alleged Indrakanthan escaped the first rush after getting out of his car, taking off on foot, but was tracked down by the assailants in their car.
That car, which allegedly had three others inside, was last seen travelling northbound on Birchmount Road from Bonis Avenue and then eastbound on Huntingwood Drive.Police believe items were thrown from the vehicle, and would like to collect that evidence. Indrakanthan is the city's 30th homicide of 2009.

கடந்த பத்து நாட்களில் கனடாவில் மேற்படி தமிழ் இளைஞருடன் இரண்டு பேர் பரிதாபமாக படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். டெய்ஸி மார்ட் என்னும் கடைத் தொகுதிக்கு அருகாமையில் வைத்து நேற்று நள்ளிரவு 19 வயது குறித்த இளைஞர் கடுமையாகத் தாக்கப்பட்டு படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். ஐந்து பேரைக் கொண்ட குழுவொன்று ஆயுதங்களைக் கொண்டு தாக்கியுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. அண்மையில் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்டியன் தனபாலன் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட இடத்திலிருந்து மூன்று கிலோ மீற்றர் தொலைவில் இந்த இரண்டாவது படுகொலைச் சம்பவம் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. உலகின் அமைதி நாடெனப் பிரகடனப்படுத்தப் பட்டிருக்கும் கனடாவில் தமிழர்கள் மத்தியில் மீண்டும் தலைதூக்கியிருக்கும் இந்த இரத்தக்கலாச்சாரம் கனடிய மக்களுக்கு மிகுந்த அதிர்ச்சியையும், பீதியையும் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
